Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. When she was a kid, she listened to many classical music and older Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, as well as any dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
